Kütahya’s Economic Potential and Developments in the Turkish and Global Economies Discussed with Cevdet Yılmaz

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at his office. During the meeting, discussions focused on Kütahya’s investment potential, production capacity and priority areas for development, as well as developments in the Turkish and global economies, evolving global trade dynamics and Kütahya’s economic potential within this changing environment. The agenda also included possible steps to enable Kütahya to make a stronger contribution to Türkiye’s production and export capacity and to enhance its global competitiveness.

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at his office.

During the meeting, Kütahya’s investment potential and production capabilities were discussed, together with priority areas for development that would support the province’s economic and social progress. Views were exchanged on strengthening the production, investment and employment capacity of Kütahya’s business community, as well as initiatives that could contribute to the sustainable growth of the local economy. The importance of assessing Kütahya’s industrial infrastructure, diversity of production and export potential within the framework of Türkiye’s growth objectives and evolving global economic dynamics was also emphasised.

KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat highlighted the importance of cooperation between the public sector, private sector and local stakeholders in transforming Kütahya’s existing potential into greater economic value.

“Transforming Kütahya’s strong production infrastructure into an economic structure that generates higher added value, strengthening the investment environment and enhancing our city’s competitiveness are among our key priorities. We attach great importance to communicating Kütahya’s needs and the expectations of our business community to the relevant authorities and to strengthening the measures that will contribute to our city’s development. Developing our production and investment capacity, encouraging new investment and expanding employment opportunities are of great importance to Kütahya’s future.

Today, the economic strength of cities and regions must be assessed not only within their own boundaries, but also in the context of the evolving production, trade and investment dynamics of Türkiye and the wider world. I believe that we can transform Kütahya’s production capabilities into a source of potential that will help strengthen Türkiye’s position in global value chains. To achieve this, it is essential to strengthen the investment environment, increase value-added production, expand export capacity and better prepare our business community for global competition. As the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we will continue to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between the public sector and the business community in pursuit of these objectives.”

At the conclusion of the visit, KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat thanked Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz for his kind reception.
