KUTSO DELEGATION VISITS MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE ABDULKADİR URALOĞLU

Kütahya’s Transport Priorities Presented to Minister Uraloğlu

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), and the accompanying delegation visited Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. During the visit, Kütahya’s requests concerning urban traffic arrangements, intercity road connections and access to the high-speed rail network were presented.

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), together with Board Treasurer Tolga Eskioğlu, Board Member Bekir Melih Karaaytaç and Chairman of the Member Relations Coordination Board Emin Yüce, paid a courtesy visit to Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

During the meeting, arrangements to improve access at the junction serving Sera Shopping Centre and the Çiniciler Çarşısı on the Eskişehir–Kütahya road were discussed, along with traffic flow around the intercity bus terminal. The need to separate through traffic from vehicles entering and leaving the terminal by means of a grade-separated junction was also conveyed.

The completion of the Kütahya–Balıkesir road and expectations regarding Kütahya’s direct connection to the high-speed rail network were also among the topics discussed. The contribution that stronger transport links could make to Kütahya’s trade, industry and tourism sectors was also evaluated.

KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat stated:

“As global trade routes and supply chains are being reshaped, strong transport links are becoming a decisive factor in the competitiveness of cities. The continued development of Türkiye’s interregional transport network also presents new opportunities for cities with significant production potential, such as Kütahya.

Situated between the Aegean, Marmara and Central Anatolia regions, our city needs to resolve its urban traffic issues, strengthen its intercity road connections and secure access to the high-speed rail network in order to benefit fully from these opportunities. We conveyed the needs of our business community and fellow citizens to the Minister, and we stand ready to work in cooperation with the relevant institutions.”

At the conclusion of the visit, the KUTSO delegation thanked Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu for his kind reception.
