Kütahya’s Economic Potential Assessed in Light of Global Developments

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), paid a courtesy visit to Ahmet Büyükgümüş, AK Party Deputy Chairman responsible for Organisation, at his office. During the meeting, Kütahya’s economic potential and commercial development, as well as issues on the agenda of the business community, were discussed. The current outlook for the Turkish economy and the implications of changes in the global economy for Kütahya’s production, investment and trade potential were also considered.

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), visited Ahmet Büyükgümüş, AK Party Deputy Chairman responsible for Organisation, at his office. Key topics discussed included developing Kütahya’s production and trade capacity, supporting the needs of the business community and strengthening the city’s economic structure. The meeting also addressed the more effective utilisation of Kütahya’s potential as Türkiye works to strengthen its economic growth and production capacity, harnessing opportunities arising from changing global trade conditions for the benefit of the local economy, and developing new areas for investment.

KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat emphasised the importance of communicating the expectations of the business community to the relevant state institutions, Members of Parliament, local authorities and civil society organisations in order to further advance Kütahya’s economic potential, as well as establishing a strong foundation for cooperation based on a shared vision.

KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat stated:

“We believe that Kütahya has strong economic and commercial potential. Taking this potential further requires us not only to enhance our production capabilities and trade capacity, but also to diversify our economy. We attach importance to ensuring that Kütahya grows through new investments and opportunities across a range of sectors, rather than depending on a single sector, while increasing value-added production and employment opportunities.

Today, it is important to consider the transformation of the Turkish economy alongside global economic developments in order to reassess Kütahya’s potential in line with the needs of the future. Our aim is to support our city’s production capabilities with new areas for investment, enabling Kütahya to make a stronger contribution to the Turkish economy and benefit more fully from the opportunities created by global economic developments.

As we increase our economic diversity, I believe we must also strengthen the ability of our business community to adapt to changing conditions and expand into new markets. For nearly four years, KUTSO has been working with this approach to advance Kütahya’s economic potential and contribute to the development of initiatives that will create new opportunities for our business community.

In the period ahead, we will continue to communicate the priorities and expectations of our business community to the relevant state institutions, Members of Parliament, local authorities and civil society organisations; strengthen dialogue between the business community and decision-makers; and contribute to the more effective utilisation of our city’s potential. The meeting, during which Kütahya’s economic potential was assessed in light of global developments, concluded with an emphasis on the importance of initiatives that will contribute to the development of the city’s economy in the period ahead and an exchange of mutual good wishes.
