KUTSO 2026 SEPTEMBER JOINT MEETING OF PROFESSIONAL COMMITTEES HELD

The September Ordinary Joint Meeting of the Professional Committees of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Fatih Alkış, with the participation of Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, members of the Assembly and Board of Directors, and the chairmen and members of the Professional Committees.

During the meeting, certificates were presented to newly registered members. This was followed by the presentation of plaques and gifts to the chairmen of the Assembly and Professional Committees and members of the Professional Committees who served during the 2022–2026 term. The presentations were made by KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat and Speaker of the Assembly Harun Yurdagül. Secretary General Hüseyin Feyyaz Ebeoğlugil also briefed participants on the Chamber’s announcements and forthcoming events.

Speaking during the closing remarks, KUTSO Chairman Esin Güral Argat outlined the physical improvements made to the Chamber building over the past four years, the digitalisation of its archives and its member-focused initiatives. Güral Argat stated that member satisfaction had reached approximately 92 per cent, while the proportion of members who felt confident about paying their membership fees had risen from 53 per cent to around 80 per cent. She also emphasised the contribution of the Professional Committees to KUTSO achieving a four-star rating under the EFQM model.

Stating that Kütahya’s economy needs to grow, deepen and diversify, Güral Argat outlined initiatives focusing on the defence industry, health technologies, the green transition and new export markets. She also shared objectives concerning value-added agro-industry in Altıntaş, a cooperative model for companies seeking to expand, and stronger cooperation between the technopark and industry. She further stated that KUTSO had assumed the co-chairmanship of a global working group representing SMEs within the COP31 climate process.

Referring to the Chamber elections scheduled for 3 October 2026, Güral Argat called for an election process in which projects remain at the forefront and mutual respect is maintained.

“When the ballot boxes are removed on 3 October, regardless of who wins or loses, we will all still be here in the same Kütahya, sitting around the same table,” Güral Argat said, concluding her remarks with the words: “Our strength comes from Kütahya. Together, we move forward.”
