KUTSO PAYS A CONGRATULATORY VİSİT TO REGİONAL DİRECTOR OF FORESTRY YUSUF KARARTI

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), together with Emin Yüce, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Board Members Melih Aslan and Semra Tozaraydın, paid a congratulatory visit to Yusuf Karartı, Regional Director of Forestry for Kütahya.

During the visit, best wishes were extended to Yusuf Karartı on his new appointment. The meeting also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on Kütahya’s natural resources, forestry activities, sustainable environmental policies, and inter-institutional cooperation.

It was noted that Kütahya is one of Türkiye’s leading provinces in terms of forest resources, with approximately 56 per cent of its total land area covered by forests. In this respect, the province possesses significant potential both for the preservation of natural habitats and for economic development. Kütahya’s forests, which feature a rich diversity of tree species including Turkish red pine, black pine, Scots pine, oak, juniper, and beech, were recognised as offering substantial value in the areas of non-wood forest products, ecotourism, biodiversity conservation, and the fight against climate change.

The meeting also included consultations on efforts to protect and develop forest resources, awareness-raising activities in the fight against forest fires, sustainable resource management, and projects aimed at enhancing environmental awareness. Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining a balance between Kütahya’s economic development objectives and the protection of natural resources, while discussing the benefits that strengthened cooperation between public institutions and the business community could provide.

KUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat wished Yusuf Karartı success in his new role and expressed her hope that his appointment would bring positive outcomes for Kütahya.

The visit concluded following the exchange of mutual good wishes.
